And I’m starting to really dig it. Finally got a SR20 today and it’s a mom with two kids. Bentley nailed the market.

better than black.

i do believe there is a black one running around the same area - harder to spot since it looks like all the other SUVs and what not.

I’ve seen one in whit, beige, red, and black and agree that black is actually the worst.

What would Marie Antoinette drive?
There’s the answer.

Rolls Royce- Cullinan
Mercedes Maybach

Mercedes is trying to bring the sedan back but in an over sized kind of ugly way.
![]() 08/22/2018 at 09:40 |

They went full lifted sedan with the 2019 GLC. Even the tasteless people who buy coupe-crossovers are going to reject this abomination

The current gen GLC63 is awesome though and no one can convince me differently .

I seent it too in the Maryland Farms area. It is a heinous thing to behold. Rebadged and updated Volkswagen Atlas. Chassis manufactured in Chattanooga shipped overseas for coach work.
![]() 08/22/2018 at 10:02 |

Atlas is the Golf platform. This is the Q7/Q8 /Tuareg /Cayenne. This is MLB instead of MQB platform

Friends don’t let friends like Bentaygas.

Mud? W ho am I kidding...

Dust from that little unpaved section between the street and the gated driveway of a cloned tacky mcmansion in a dull pretentious “estates” subdivision.
But no doubt they worked hard for it.
![]() 08/22/2018 at 10:41 |

But Bentaygas make sense doe. The nicest SUV you could buy before was a Range Rover or GL

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the wife of that Mazer guy with the 918. Also, I’m really curious as to how many of these will be on the roads in 10+ years. I still see many early-mid 2000’s BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus crossovers running around. Bentley’s were a rare sight before, but since the Bentayga is so prevalent now, I’m wondering if it’ll last.
![]() 08/22/2018 at 10:58 |

Oh, I’m sure they made business sense.
But they made sense like yachts make sense.

Mazer lives in Franklin but this Bentayga was coming out of the Governers Club in Brentwood. There are a lot of rich people here. Funny enough, I saw Dolly Parton pulling out o f her house(about 200 feet from where this picture was taken ) and she was in a black GX460.

That whole area is really pretty. Working for Nissan to be up there would be nice; Nashville and Huntsville are mad underrated areas. I’m more wondering about the longevity of these Bentaygas, though. Will they be sad sights in the back lots of European repair shops in 2037, or are these gonna soldier on for the years to come?
![]() 08/22/2018 at 11:09 |

I think they’ll all end up in Hoovies garage. These people are rich enough to not have to keep a quarter million dollar car. I think they’ll end up just like most of the Bentleys now.
![]() 08/22/2018 at 11:10 |

They might actually be more disposable. now that I think of it.
![]() 08/22/2018 at 11:14 |

That’s actually kind of sad, honestly. I’m surprised at how many older cars I still see; I wonder if all of the current cars on the road will be able to face the same destiny.

How is the ATLAS, a 7 seater, 3 row SUV the size of an Expedition come from a Golf platform ?
![]() 08/22/2018 at 11:32 |

I have no freaking clue. I talked a little about it in my Tiguan review though. http://www.rightfootdown.com/cars/reviews/cars-reviews/2018-volkswagen-tiguan-vws-small-suv-goes-big/
![]() 08/22/2018 at 11:47 |

That shit don;t add up and that dog don’t hunt. The Atlas and Q7 have got ot be on the same platform simply based on size, wheelbase and engine displacements alone.
![]() 08/22/2018 at 11:48 |

MQB = transv
erse FWD (/AWD)
MLB = longitudinal FWD (/AWD)
Both are highly modular and scal able . The Bentayga is on the same platform as the Audi A4.

List of MQB platform vehicles
As long as the steering wheel forward is the same, they can stretch it as long as they want and out whatever body panels they want on it

If I was stupid rich I am not ashamed to say I would buy one, and probably a Merc 6x6.
![]() 08/29/2018 at 23:31 |

My “I’m rich screw you” cars would be a LS500, LC500, 911 Targa(In Mango or Maimi Blue), a Macan Turbo S for the wife, and a 2CV because Citroen.
![]() 08/29/2018 at 23:35 |

Those cars you mention are so common here there is no screw you involved! A 911 here is like a Camry, I’d have to buy a Merc AMG GT or something to avoid being like everyone else, or a Jaaaaag F Type R.
![]() 08/30/2018 at 00:51 |

Fine. I’ll also buy an Ariel Atom with air conditioning. Is that screw you enough?
![]() 08/30/2018 at 00:55 |

Even in CA, I have only seen one Atom , I think there are about three Caterhams around from what I’ve seen.

Some guy has a caterham he brings to cars and coffee with a. Ford V8 in it.
